A second living room transformed into beautiful a wheelchair accessible bedroom for a family home in Altrincham. Our brief was to bring our clients beautiful master bedroom ensuite, located on the first floor, to the ground floor where it could be easily accessible for her wheelchair. This project not only transformed the look and feel of this space, but also the everyday life of our client.

This was a resourceful project with the majority of furniture being owned already by our client. A beautiful new scheme was created that tied in with the existing pieces as well as celebrated them in a new way. Carpet flooring was replaced for wooden planks to make it easier for our client’s wheelchair and the space around the bed was kept clear to ensure good turning space.

In a recent conversation with our client when she was on holiday, I was delighted to hear how much they were missing their room at home as it felt like their very own boutique hotel!
